The easiest way to tell if someone you know is raving mad or not is to assess how much of his or her life is dedicated to the pointless act of snoozing. Yes; my observations suggest that the favorite pastime of the mad is sleeping. In fact, on average, lunatics spend twenty-four hours per day either sleeping or trying to sleep. When free time is not sufficient enough to allow for either of these two activities, crazy people will talk about how much sleep they did not get or how much sleep they still need. Without a doubt, the mad are fascinated by sleep. There are a number of theories on why this is the case. But the most plausible is that lunatics all desire death without actually being dead. And that is what sleep offers. It lets you “die” temporarily so that you can come awake just long enough to see if you’re missing out on anything good.
